Voice & Audio Input
Speak your search and Mira transcribes it into the Task input, or upload an audio file and Mira reads it to understand your requirements.
Voice input lets you describe a candidate search out loud instead of typing it. Mira transcribes what you say into the Task input, so you can review or edit before sending. You can also upload an audio file you already have, and Mira reads it to understand your requirements and gets to work.

What it's good for
- Long requirements, where talking is faster than typing every detail.
- Briefing the way you'd brief a colleague. The natural phrasing usually carries more context than a tidy bullet list.
- Moments when typing is awkward but you don't want to lose the thought.
How to use it
- Open a Task and find the microphone button in the Task input.
- Click the microphone button and start speaking. Transcription follows your Mira interface language, so it works best when you speak the language Mira is set to.
- When you're done, click the confirm button. Mira transcribes the recording and places the text in the Task input.
- Review or edit the transcription, then send the Task as usual.
If you change your mind, click the cancel button to discard the recording. Nothing is sent until you choose to.
Each recording is capped at 5 minutes; when you reach the limit Mira stops automatically and transcribes what it has. For a very long brief, record it in shorter segments, or upload it as a file instead.
Upload an audio file
Already have a recording? Attach an audio file instead of speaking live: a meeting recording, an intake call with a hiring manager, or interview audio. Mira reads it the way it reads an uploaded JD, works out the requirements from it, and gets to work. Unlike live voice, the content isn't placed in your input box as editable text; Mira takes it in as part of the Task.
- In the Task input, attach an audio file the same way you'd attach a JD or résumé.
- Common formats are supported: MP3, M4A, WAV, WebM, and OGG. Each file can be up to 100 MB and up to 2 hours long.
- Mira reads the audio, understands the requirements in it, and uses them in your Task.
Recording laws vary: make sure you have the consent required in your jurisdiction before recording and uploading calls or interviews.
Uploading a file suits longer recordings: unlike the 5-minute live cap, an uploaded file can run up to 2 hours.
Supported languages
Voice input supports the same 13 languages as the rest of Mira: German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Portuguese, Thai, Vietnamese, and Chinese (both Simplified and Traditional). Transcription follows your Mira interface language, so set Mira to the language you want to speak for the best results.
Privacy
- The recording is used only to produce the transcription that fills the Task input.
- Mira does not retain the audio after transcription.
- Transcription is handled by a third-party transcription provider.
- The transcribed text becomes part of your Task like any other input. See Privacy & Compliance for how Task content is handled.
