Sourcing FAQ
Frequently asked questions about Mira's sourcing capabilities.
Where do the candidates come from?
Mira searches across three layers: public talent databases (aggregated from multiple external sources), Mira's own index of public social profiles and job postings, and your private data (uploaded resumes or ATS-integrated candidate pools).
How many candidates can I get?
By default the Agent returns 20 candidates. To get more or fewer, say so when describing the role, for example, "find me 50 ML engineers" or "show me 10 senior PMs". You can also ask for more candidates in the same conversation at any time.
How long does a search take?
Most sourcing rounds complete within a few minutes. Complex searches with very specific criteria may take longer.
Can I search for candidates in specific countries or cities?
Yes. Include location in your description (e.g., "Berlin or remote", "London", "Southeast Asia"). The Agent understands geographic preferences and can filter or prioritize by location.
What if the results don't match what I need?
Tell the Agent in the same conversation. For example: "Focus more on startup backgrounds" or "Include candidates from Amsterdam too." The Agent adjusts the next search based on your feedback.
Can Mira work with candidates from my ATS?
You can upload resume files directly to Mira. With the Mira Browser Extension, you can also let Mira navigate your own ATS in the browser using your own login, it's user-driven browser automation, not a platform-level ATS integration. There's no direct ATS data integration today.
What does the AI Summary tell me?
The AI Summary is a concise assessment of the candidate's qualifications, specifically tailored to your search requirements. It highlights relevant experience, skills, and career patterns, not a generic bio.
Can I download the candidate data?
Yes. Every Shortlist comes with a downloadable data file containing all candidate information in a structured format. You can import this into your ATS or spreadsheets.
Does the Agent remember my preferences across Tasks?
Yes. As you use Mira, the platform picks up your patterns, which backgrounds you engage with, how you refine, which criteria matter in your domain. Over time, results align more closely with your recruiting style.
