Mira Browser Extension
The Mira Browser Extension navigates websites on your behalf to find candidates and gather public information.
The Mira Browser Extension automates web browsing on your behalf. It navigates pages, extracts information, and returns structured data, useful when you need candidate or company information that's not already in Mira's built-in sources.
What you can use it for
Find candidates on recruiting platforms
Ask the Agent to search recruiting platforms for candidates matching your criteria. The Extension navigates the platform, reads profiles, and brings qualified candidates back into Mira for matching.
Research companies and markets
Need to know who's on the engineering team at a specific company, or which Series B fintechs are hiring in London? The Extension can visit specific websites, read about org structure, recent funding, and team composition, and organize the findings for you.
Access platforms that need sign-in
For platforms requiring login, including your ATS, CRM, or recruiting sites, the Extension uses your own browser session and account. This is user-driven browser automation, not a platform-level integration.
How to use it
1. Install the Extension
Find Mira Browser Extension on the Chrome Web Store — click Add to Chrome and confirm. Once installed, click the Connect button to link the Extension with Mira.
2. Check connection from the Task input
The Task input page has a small status button for the Extension. It tells you whether the Extension is ready before you send a Task, with three possible states:
- Not installed — clicking the button links to the Chrome Web Store install guide.
- Installed but not connected — Mira is waiting for the Extension to authorize; this usually clears within a few seconds.
- Connected — the Extension is ready, and the button shows which browser account is authorized.
If the connection drops while a Task is running, the status button reflects that and the Agent surfaces a clear message rather than going quiet.
3. Use it in your Task
Just ask in your Task conversation. The Extension activates when web browsing is the best way to get what you need:
- "Search for product managers in Berlin with B2B SaaS experience."
- "Go to [company website] and tell me about their leadership team."
- "Check our ATS for candidates who applied to similar roles last quarter."
Platform compliance
Many recruiting platforms have terms of service that restrict automated access. The Extension is designed to operate within reasonable usage patterns, but responsibility for compliance with third-party platform terms lies with the user of the Extension.
We recommend:
- Using the Extension for targeted, specific searches, not bulk scraping.
- Keeping your own platform accounts in good standing.
- Being aware of platform-specific limitations.
Privacy and security
- The Mira Browser Extension only accesses sites you explicitly request.
- Login accounts are encrypted and handled securely.
- Browsing sessions are isolated from your personal browser.
- All data collected follows Mira's Privacy Policy.
